Meet Nicolette
Let me introduce myself! My name is Nicolette Gubicza Standley and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Orange County, California.
I graduated from Pepperdine University with my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I hold with high reverence, the uniqueness of each individual. Therefore, I tailor my therapeutic approach to each person. I pull from therapeutic theories, such as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and Attachment Theory. I also utilize trauma-informed theories such as Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing, and Neruoaffactive Relational Model.
In addition to my practice, I have extensive training working in the school setting, where I provided therapeutic services to students with IEPs (Individualized Education Plan). This experience aids in my ability to navigate between teens, family, and the school system.
When I am not providing therapy, I find peace in nature, hiking, spending time at the beach, traveling with my husband, and eating great food!
